Puriri Hills Reserve Merlot Cabernet Franc
An elegant wine of
medium weight, very fine dusty tannins laced with red plums and red
currents. The fruit was restrained and gentle showing a peacocks
feather of complexity. A gentle, refined and well put together wine.
There is still room to improve here, a little more weight and
concentration wouldn't go amiss.

Puriri Hills 2002
Sixty-six percent merlot, 18% cabernet franc, 13% cabernet sauvignon, and 3% malbec, this wine contains our first harvest of newly imported Bordeaux clones of cabernet sauvignon and cabernet franc. This wine was designed for early drinking.

Puriri Hills 2001
Only 2500 bottles of this delicate wine were made in this low-yielding year, and only 600 will be available in New Zealand. The wine is 65% merlot, 35% cabernet franc. It is ready to drink now, but will continue to improve with several more years of cellaring.
