IMPORTANT NOTICE
Australian Customs have recently changed their policy with regard to shipments of wine from New Zealand wineries to private buyers in Australia. Wineries are now required to pay 29% WET tax on the full retail price of our wine to Australian Customs. Formerly WET tax on the notional wholesale value of the wine was included in the delivery fee. Thus the delivery fee is now considerably lower. But we do have to charge the 29% tax on our wine price.
We will offer a discount on the purchase price of wine to our Australian customers to mitigate some of the price increase caused by this WET tax charge.
